Our Policies
At Destination Leavenworth, we work hard to provide a pleasant vacation experience that will bring you back again and again. To assure that your stay is as problem-free as possible, please read through our policies. If you have any questions, feel free to call our office.
- Minimum Stay
- There is a 2-night minimum stay requirement for all reservations with the exception of a 3-night minimum stay that applies to the following holiday weekends: Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, and a 4-night minimum stay for the last two weeks of December, including New Year's Day.

- The nightly rental rate for each property is listed on its Destination page for a specific number of guests. The rates vary between Standard (Friday/Saturday), Discount (Sunday to Thursday), and Premium (Holidays and Festival—See above). Additional adult guests are $30 per night and additional children (5 to 12) are $20 per night.

- Children are welcome. There is no charge for children under the age of 5.

- Pets may not be brought to a Property that is listed: No Pets.
Back To Top - Advanced Lodging Pre-Payments
- A 50% prepayment is required on all reservations made more than thirty days in advance of your scheduled arrival, with the remaining balance due thirty days prior to arrival. If you are reserving a property within 30 days of the arrival date, the total reservation amount is due at the time of the reservation.

- We accept bank checks, Travelers Checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Personal checks are accepted up to 30 days before your arrival date.
Back To Top - Additional Fees
- There are no additional fees. Rental rates do not include state/local taxes. There are no Cleaning fees with the exception of one-night stays or if the home is left in a filthy condition. If smoking occurs during your stay, there will be a minimum fee of $200 to clean the unit. In addition, if the Occupant incurs long-distance or pay-per-view charges, there will be a $10 service fee in addition to the charges incurred.
Back To Top - Accidental Damage Program (ADP)
- The ADP is included in all reservations at no cost to you. With ADP you will not be required to pay for accidental damage to the home or personal property of the homeowner contained within the premises up to an aggregate limit of $500. Damages exceeding this limit will be the responsibility of the guest. Guests' credit cards are held on file for this purpose.
Exclusions within the ADP specifically limit the guest's coverage and do not release guest from liability for damage due to the following:- (a) intentional, willful, reckless, or malicious acts of guest or others on the premises during the tenancy;
- (b) damage by pets;
- (c) theft from the premises of either the owner's property or property belonging to guest;
- (d) gross negligence of guest or intentional misuse of furnishings, appliances, equipment or other amenities provided with the home;
- (e) damage caused by wine spills or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- (f) damage to real property resulting from operation of any vehicle by guest;
- (g) damages related to smoking in any Unit;
- (h) damages from house parties.
In order to receive coverage under the ADP, all damages must be reported to the rental office immediately, during Front Desk Hours (8:30am to 8:30pm). If damages are not reported prior to departure, but are found and reported by our staff, then the entire amount of damage will the responsibility of the guest.
Back To Top - Change in Number of Guests or Stay
- Registered Occupant must inform Destination Leavenworth of any change in the number of guests before arrival. Additional guests may be charged and subtraction of guests may be credited prior to arrival. There will be no refund for deletion of guests after the arrival date. There will be no refund for any unused portion of your stay.
Back To Top - Cancellation/Rescheduling
- When making a reservation for one of our properties, this home is set aside for your use and is no longer available for other parties to book. Your reservation is an agreement to stay at a specific Unit on the date that you have selected. There are no refunds. With a thirty (30) day notice or more, guests may reschedule, or receive a credit voucher, if they must cancel.
Back To Top - Guest Registration Agreement
- The Guest/Cardholder making an advance lodging reservation and identified as the Occupant of Premises on the Guest Registration Agreement (Agreement) must be an adult 21 years old or older and must be an occupant of the Vacation Rental Unit (Unit) during the entire reservation period. An Agreement must be signed and returned to Destination Leavenworth within ten days of making your reservation, or prior to your arrival, if less than ten days.
Back To Top - Occupants
- All occupants must be listed as registered guests on the Agreement. The maximum occupancy of each Unit is listed on website. Occupancy is strictly limited to the number stated in the unit description. The only exception is an infant or toddler. Extra rollaway beds (unless listed under the Destination property) or sleeping bags are not allowed. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation made under false pretenses, for families or groups exceeding the occupancy of the house or other legal reasons.
Back To Top - House Parties
- House parties are prohibited at any time. Should a house party occupy a rental home, the rental will terminate immediately without a refund. The person making the reservation shall be held liable for any damage to the property, its' contents or surroundings and will not receive the benefits of the Automatic Damage Program.
Back To Top - Vehicles & Parking
- Each property on the Destination page of our website has a maximum number of authorized vehicles that may be parked at each unit. Parking on the property is limited to general passenger vehicles including passenger cars, pickup trucks and vans under 10,000 gross vehicle weight or motorcycles. Tents, campers, mopeds and go-carts are not permitted. RV's and motor homes are only permitted with prior-approval, if it is your only means of transportation, however not for additional sleeping accommodations.
Back To Top - Smoke-Free Facilities
- All Destination Leavenworth properties are smoke-free. No smoking is permitted. Please contact the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce (509-548-5807) if you wish to find properties that permit smoking. If smoking occurs, the minimum cleaning fee will be $200.
Back To Top - Check-In
- AFTER 3 p.m.
Early Check-In at 1 p.m. is contingent upon the Unit being cleaned and ready. Early Check-In will not be authorized until the day of arrival. Check-Ins earlier than 1 p.m. for the same day will be charged a half day's rate.
Express Check-In:
We now have express check-in at all of our homes, cabins and lodges and most of our condos. Express Check-In allows you to go directly to your property and use a designated and timed code to enter your Unit. Once your Agreement is signed and returned and your final payment received, your Express Check-In code will be emailed to you. It will be sent within 5 to 10 days of your arrival.
Back To Top - Check-Out
- BEFORE 11 a.m.
Occupants must Check-Out by this time in order for us to prepare the Unit for the next guest. Late checkout of up to two hours may only be authorized on the day of departure, and is dependent upon whether there are arriving guests. Late Check-Outs past 1 pm and unapproved late check-outs past 11 am will be charged a half-days rate.
Back To Top - Relocation
- In the unlikely event that we have to make any changes to confirmed reservations, we will advise you at the earliest possible date and attempt to locate another unit for your stay. In the event we are unable to deliver the unit under this agreement because of fire, eminent domain, act of nature, delay in construction or any other reason and no suitable substitute can be found, all payments shall be refunded.
Back To Top - Restrictions
- Guests are subject to immediate eviction and removal from the Unit and Property if:
- Fireworks are set off at any of our properties
- There is a discharge of firearms of any kind
- Campfires at properties without fire-pits or fire-rings or when fires are banned.
- Complaints of noise, loud music, foul language or otherwise disturbing the peace of the neighbors are reported
- There is noise and disturbance outside the home after 10 pm
- Number of occupants exceeds the number of contracted guests
- Smoking is evident in and around the Unit
- Pets are on rental properties that prohibit pets
- There are tents, campers or motor homes placed on the rental property without prior written approval
- Units are used as a place of commerce
- House Parties occur
- More than the maximum number of vehicles is parked on premises.
- Use of Unit & Security of Unit
- Occupants agree to comply with the Owners and Management (DL) instruction listed in this agreement, posted on premises and listed in the Guest Directory.
Guest/Cardholder is asked to examine the Unit UPON ARRIVAL and to immediately report any and all damage(s) observed to Destination Leavenworth.
Guest is responsible for the security of the Unit and its contents, and any personal property of guests during the stay. When unit is unoccupied, doors must be locked and the outside light left on. Key codes, when used, are changed between guest stays for the security of the unit. Guest must leave the Unit in good condition.
Back To Top - Items to Bring
- A “starter supply” of soap, shampoo, bath tissue (3 rolls per bathroom), a roll of paper towels, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent is provided for your convenience. In addition, Destination Leavenworth provides a hospitality basket of coffee and tea as a welcome to you.
Some things you will need to bring are staple kitchen items: salt, pepper, etc., wraps, other paper products, and your food and personal items.
Back To Top - Weather Conditions
- We cannot be responsible for winter weather conditions, so make sure that you have proper equipment (tires etc.) to drive in the snow and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. (Once a winter storm is over, our local roads are kept open and are in good condition for winter travel, and our driveways are plowed.) There are no refunds for road closures, however if both mountain passes (Stevens and Snoqualmie) are closed for more than eight hours on arrival day, guests may receive a credit voucher for that one day.

- All reservations include sheets, towels, hand towels, washcloths, dishtowels and bath mats. Your beds will be made and towels set out in each bedroom.
Back To Top - Housekeeping Services
- Your Unit will be cleaned and inspected by a staff member prior to your stay. There will be no scheduled housekeeping visits during your stay. Please contact the DL office if anything has been inadvertently overlooked, and we will send a cleaner over to correct it. We are service-friendly and are happy to help you if you call us during your stay. If you wait until after you depart to let us know that something is not right, it would be too late to help you. Either way, there is no compensation for housekeeping issues.
Back To Top - Noise
- Renters are responsible for the conduct of their guests, and are asked to maintain consideration for neighbors, including refraining from loud use of stereos, television, musical instruments or excessively loud conversation. THERE must be absolute quiet after 10 pm outside.
Back To Top - Grilling
- Grills have been set up on decks or patios where they are safe to use. For your safety, do not move a grill closer to the Unit. If the grill does not start, make sure the valve on the propane tank is turned on. If using a charcoal grill, please dispose of charcoals in an approved metal container, if provided, or leave the ashes or coals in the grill and out staff will safely remove them after your departure.

- Our guests may send and receive faxes, have photocopies made and access our wireless internet free of charge at our office. When receiving faxes, make sure the sender notes your name and property name or number on the transmittal sheet.
Back To Top - Furnishings/Equipment
- Our rental homes have been decorated and equipped to satisfy the particular tastes and desires of the owners. All properties are furnished with heat, a fully equipped kitchen and a television. Many of the properties have air-conditioning, dishwashers and a washer and dryer. Several properties do not have TV reception and a DVD player is provided for your use. The furnishings are not to be moved or rearranged and are subject to change without notice. Any locked closets are reserved for the storage of the owner's private property and are not to be entered or damaged.

- Several of our properties have elevators. Under no circumstances should unsupervised children be allowed in an elevator. NOTE: Any guest or guest's party who (through roughhousing or jumping in the elevator) causes the elevator to lockdown, resulting in the local fire department coming out to help you exit, is responsible for the service bill.
Back To Top - Telephone & WI-FI
- For those properties that have telephones, local calls are free of charge. Long distance calls should be charged to a credit card or be made collect. Guests shall be charged for any long distance charges made to the property along with a $25 fee. If the property has Wi-Fi, it will be listed on the DL website and the Password will be supplied on a sign in the main living area.
Back To Top - Maintenance & Repair
- Just like your own home, our homes can experience unanticipated breakdowns. All efforts will be made to insure that all equipment and appliances are in working order and that any problems are resolved as quickly as possible. Although repairs will be made as quickly as possible, no refunds or transfers to another unit will be made. No maintenance or repairs are performed at night, unless it is an emergency.
Back To Top - Campfires
- Because of extreme dry summer conditions and the danger of forest fires, guests are permitted to have campfires only at homes or cabins that have approved, already existing fire pits or fire-rings. No fires are allowed otherwise. At these location, please make sure that your campfire is totally out before you go to bed or leave the premises. (To make sure it's out, stir the ashes up within the fire-pit or ring while dousing it well with water.
Back To Top - Hot Tubs
- Hot tubs are provided for your enjoyment. Please refrain from excessive noise. (Sound travels at nights.) Splashing or unruliness that would lead to a problem in the care and maintenance of the tub. Follow the rules that are posted. Do not use soap shampoo, any substance in the hot tub. In locations with other houses near by, hot tubs are not to be used after 10 pm.
Back To Top - Risks & Safety
- HOT TUB
Each hot tub is serviced by an independent, professional maintenance company according to County Health Code requirements. Guest must abide by the rules posted near the hot tub and agree to hold harmless Owner and/or Management (DL) for any injury resulting from the use of the hot tub. Use of the hot tub is at occupant's and guest(s)' own risk. FIRE SAFETY
No candles or open fires are allowed inside or outside the unit, except in approved wood stoves, fireplaces or outside fire pits (concrete liners.) Fire officials may ban fires during the summer. When that occurs, no fires are permitted. Children must be supervised at all times.
Back To Top - After Hours Emergency
- Calls to our Front Desk, after closing (8:30pm to 8:30am) will be routed through our answering service. If it is a property emergency, they will contact a DL staff member who is on call. Again, no maintenance is available after hours.

- BEFORE 11 a.m.
Occupants must Check-Out by this time in order for us to prepare the Unit for the next guest.

- Turn off all lights and appliances.
Back To Top - Thermostats
- In the summer, please turn the AC up to 78º degrees
- In the fall, winter and spring, please turn the Heat down to 60º degrees. Do not turn heat completely off
Back To Top- Security
- All doors and windows must be closed and locked, and if a key was required to access the unit, it must be placed on the kitchen counter or if needed to secure the Unit, returned to the Key box at the Front Desk office.
Back To Top - Condition of Home
- Cleaning of the unit is provided upon departure at no charge, with the exception of reservations made for one-night stays. However, failure to adhere to the following will result in additional cleaning charges at the rate of $20 an hour (guests' credit cards are held on file for this purpose:)
- The home must be left neat and orderly, with furniture left as found.
- All trash bagged and placed in outside containers. Use Recycling bins, if provided.
- Kitchen cleared of trash and food, refrigerator emptied.
- Carpet and floors free of excess food, debris and dirt.
- Wash all dishes or place in dishwasher, with the washer started.
- Items Left In Home
- Please check the property for all your belongings, especially under beds and in drawers. We cannot be responsible for items left behind. Upon request, we will attempt to locate an item and mail it to you. A handling fee of $5.00, plus the cost of postage (and insurance if requested), will be charged. If a special trip to the home to find your item is required, there is an additional charge of $25. Items left in homes and not claimed after thirty days are donated to a local charity.

- Book your next stay (non-holiday, non-festival) before your departure and receive a 10% discount on your next stay.
We are only able to book stays at properties for up to 365 days. You may tentatively reserve the same home for next year by leaving an advance prepayment of 50% during your current stay. You must reserve prior to check-out to keep your priority status.
